How-to Upgrade Your Account
Almost done! Upgrade your account for free.
1. Log in to your Maya account. Once in the app, access the menu then select UPGRADE YOUR ACCOUNT.
2. Fill out the required information and make sure you have at least one [1] valid Primary ID or [2] valid Secondary IDs. Please ensure that the Name and Birthday you entered in the Upgrade Application form match the Name and Birthday reflected in the Valid ID that you will be uploading.
For Filipino citizens aged 18 years old and above
Primary ID
- SSS ID (Digitized, with photo)
- PRC ID
- Postal ID (Issued 2015 onwards)
- Passport
- Driver’s License
- UMID
- NBI Clearance
- Government Office and GOCC ID (Digitized, with photo)
- Philippine National Identity Card
- IBP (Integrated Bar of the Philippines)
Or (2) Secondary IDs
- Senior Citizen Card
- Police Clearance
- Philhealth ID (Digitized/PVC or Laminated Cardboard with Barcode)
- Voter's ID
- TIN ID (Laminated)
- Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) e-Card
- Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID/ OFW e-Card
For Filipino minors aged 7 to 17 years old
1. Primary ID (any of the following)
- School ID (issued within the current school year and signed by the school principal or head of the educational institution)
- Passport
- Driver's License
- Postal ID
- Philippine National Identity Card
2. Parent/ Guardian's Valid ID (based on accepted primary IDs)
3. Signed Parental Consent form
4. PSA/NSO Birth Certificate
5. Proof of legal guardianship (if applicable)
For Foreign nationals
Primary ID (any of the following)
- Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) i-Card
- Passport
3. Record and submit a 4 to 5-second video selfie
- When taking the video selfie, you must follow the instructions onscreen and take note of the required gestures.
- Make sure not to cover any part of your face and remember to position your head/face properly in the video capture frame.
4. After recording your video selfie, review your application and click on SUBMIT.
5. You may monitor the status of your application by clicking on CHECK MY UPGRADE STATUS in the app menu.
6. Once your upgrade application is approved, you will receive an SMS confirmation within 24 hours and see a green verified check mark beside the profile icon and your name. You can then start enjoying the features of your upgraded Maya account.
How-to Refer Maya
Earn up to ₱3,000 when you refer your friends and family to join Maya.
1. Open your Maya app and tap on the menu or drawer
2. Tap on “Invite Friends” to see your unique invite code.
3. Share your code with as many friends as you want! You’ll get your ₱100 when your friend makes their first transaction and upgrade their account.
