Before we proceed let's first understand the difference of a Facebook Profile account and Facebook Page account. The former is an account for personal use while the latter is an account for businesses, brands and public figures and you need to have a Profile to create a Page.
The advantage of having a unique username is it's easier for people to find your Page in search results. And it also gives you a shorter custom URL from https://web.facebook/VDB-Zone-228525344389217/ to https://web.facebook.com/vdbzone/ which is good for sharing purposes. But there are guidelines in creating a custom username. When you create a custom username for your Page or profile, keep in mind the following:
- You can only have one username for your Page or profile, and you can't have a username that is already being used.
- Usernames can only contain alphanumeric characters (A–Z, 0–9) and periods ("."). They can't contain generic terms or extensions (.com, .net).
- Usernames must be at least 5 characters long.
- Periods (".") and capitalization can't be used to differentiate usernames. For example, vdbzone14344 and vdb.zone.14344 are all considered the same username.
- Usernames shouldn't impersonate someone else.
- Your username must adhere to the Facebook Terms.
Keep in mind that you must be an admin to create or change the username for a Page. See below table of what are the things you can do if you are an admin:
