For over three years, Petron was my go-to. But for more than a year now, UniOil Petroleum Philippines, Inc. has truly become my trusted choice when it comes to fueling up. Established in 1966 as Union Refinery Corporation, UniOil has grown into a major player in the country's petroleum industry, and for good reason. They've built a strong reputation for offering high-quality fuel products and providing excellent customer service. That said, practicality often wins; I'll always prioritize the nearest gas station available, whether it's UniOil, Petron, or even Caltex.
Here's why I've become a loyal UniOil user, and why you might consider giving them a try:
Fuel Quality and Performance: A Smoother Ride
One of the biggest reasons I stick with UniOil is the noticeable difference in their fuel.
- Euro 5 Standards: UniOil is committed to cleaner fuels that meet Euro 5 standards. This isn't just a technical term; it means their fuel helps ensure better engine performance for your vehicle and reduced emissions, which is a win for everyone.
- Enhanced Fuel Economy: I, along with many other drivers, have found that using UniOil fuel can lead to improved fuel efficiency. Over time, those small improvements really add up, leading to significant savings at the pump.
- Smoother Engine Performance: My driving experience feels more refined with UniOil. Their fuels are designed to provide a smoother and more responsive ride, which makes a difference whether you're navigating city streets in Dasmariñas or going on a longer trip.
An Expanding Network and Convenient Service
UniOil's presence across the country makes refueling easy. Previously, there was only one UniOil station along one of my regular routes to work – UniOil Molino – making Petron far more accessible. Now, I'm happy to see that there are two more stations, one in Daang Hari and another in Alabang Filinvest, spread across the areas where I travel. This increased availability is a big reason why I'm consistently gassing up with UniOil now!
- Wide Availability: They have a vast network of stations nationwide, which means it's generally easy to find a UniOil station when you need one. However, I'm definitely hoping to see even more stations pop up in the provinces in the future, similar to the widespread reach of brands like Petron and Shell. Personally, I'd love to see a UniOil presence in Nueva Vizcaya, my home province, to really compete with Petron and Shell there!
- 24/7 Service: Many UniOil stations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is incredibly convenient, ensuring you can always fill up your tank no matter the time.
Rewards and Top-Notch Customer Experience
Who doesn't love getting a little extra back?
- Loyalty Programs: UniOil offers various loyalty programs and promotions that let you earn points, get discounts, and enjoy other benefits. If you're an EastWest credit card user like me, you can often snag great discounts, which is a fantastic perk!
- Friendly Staff: Every time I visit a UniOil station, the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. This makes the refueling process a pleasant and quick experience.
- Clean and Well-Maintained Stations: Their stations are typically clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and tidy environment for customers.
Commitment to a Greener Future
Beyond the pump, UniOil is also thinking about the environment.
- Sustainability Initiatives: UniOil actively participates in sustainability initiatives. They promote responsible fuel consumption and environmental protection, which is something I appreciate in a company I support.
My Final Thoughts
Based on my experience, UniOil offers a reliable and high-quality fuel option for motorists here in the Philippines. While everyone's experience can differ, if you're looking for a fuel brand that aims to enhance your driving experience, provides great service, and supports a more sustainable future, I highly recommend giving UniOil a try. What has your experience been with UniOil or other fuel brands?
